Mohamed Murad announced his resignation as media coordinator for Egypt’s national team after nearly five years in the role, spanning the tenures of coaches Queiroz and Hossam Hassan. He said he had worked alone throughout that period. Murad noted that FIFA had praised his media work at the World Cup, while other national teams had at least four media coordinators. He also reaffirmed his support for the team and for Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan. He ended with a pointed message to an official at the Egyptian Football Association, saying he had stayed in the job despite objecting to it, and had ultimately left of his own accord.
