Reform funding by Thai crypto investor with overseas donations likely capped
Christopher Harborne, a Thailand-based crypto investor and supporter of Reform UK, has donated £15 million over the past year and gave Nigel Farage £5 million shortly before the 2024 elections. Despite registering to vote in Hampshire, he is unlikely to bypass planned UK restrictions on overseas political donations, including a proposed £100,000 annual cap and measures targeting cryptocurrency donations. These proposed changes aim to limit political contributions from British voters abroad, with eligibility based on residence rather than voter registration.
