Martin Lewis on his identity theft battle
Martin Lewis, a prominent financial advocate, continues to combat online scams that misuse his image to promote fraudulent investments, causing victims to lose significant sums. Despite campaigning for stricter regulation and including scam advertising in legislation, little progress has been made, and Lewis expresses frustration over government inaction and the profitability of illicit ads for big tech firms. He highlights the organized nature of these crimes and emphasizes the need for stronger measures, such as increased fines and verification processes, to prevent scams and protect victims.
