UK defence plan criticized as delayed
The article discusses the upcoming publication of the long-delayed defence investment plan (Dip) by the UK government, which allocates £5 billion for defense priorities, including drones. The plan, intended to meet threats identified in a previous strategic defence review, is being released shortly before the NATO summit and amid political criticism that it is underfunded and late. Opposition parties argue the plan is a political move that compromises national security, with calls for increased investment and alternative funding approaches.
