Glasgow CWG organizers seek late ticket boost
Organizers expect a late surge in ticket sales for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, which will begin with an opening ceremony at the OVO Hydro arena. Despite fewer tickets available—500,000 compared to 1.2 million in 2014—some events still have tickets, and public interest appears subdued. The scaled-back event features prominent athletes and a reduced program following Australia's withdrawal as a host due to rising costs.
