Duane Keith Davis guilty of Tupac killing
A Las Vegas jury has convicted Duane Keith Davis, a former gang leader, of the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, after a nearly 30-year investigation. Davis, who described his involvement in his 2019 memoir, admitted to planning the retaliation following an altercation involving Shakur’s entourage. The case relied heavily on Davis’s confessions and his own accounts of the shooting, which occurred when Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting near the Las Vegas Strip. Davis’s sentencing is scheduled for October, and he plans to appeal the conviction.
