Russia casualties amid Kyiv drone strikes
At least 12 people were killed during a Russian drone and missile attack on Kyiv and surrounding areas, marking the sixth consecutive night of strikes aimed at damaging infrastructure and lowering morale. Ukraine’s president, Zelenskyy, highlighted the use of jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles, noting Russia is exploiting a shortage of US-made Patriot interceptors to weaken Kyiv’s air defenses. Ukraine’s air force reported intercepting most incoming threats, but the attacks caused significant destruction, including fatalities among railway workers in Kyiv.
