Everton rushes to finalize Balogun deal

Everton's planned £40 million transfer for Folarin Balogun fell through late on deadline day due to medical issues, leaving the club with only one recognized striker for the season. The deal was renegotiated, but Balogun ultimately decided against the move. Everton also completed a £4.2 million signing of Ainsley Maitland-Niles from Lyon.
