Etihad Airways Reviews Legal Action Over Premier League
Etihad Airways, Manchester City's main sponsor since 2009, announced it is considering legal action against the Premier League after the publication of an independent commission's findings that accused the club of inflating revenues by £900 million through sham sponsorship deals funded by owners. The airline strongly denies any involvement in improper arrangements and criticized the Premier League for not consulting or engaging with them during the investigation, claiming the public release of the report has unfairly harmed its reputation. Etihad stated it will seek legal advice to protect its interests amid ongoing challenges to the commission’s conclusions.
