Jones Places Cowboys in Bind Over Porter Trade
Jerry Jones traded for cornerback Joey Porter Jr. from the Pittsburgh Steelers, sending a 2027 sixth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick in exchange. Porter, who is seeking a contract extension, is expected to face similar franchise tag challenges as George Pickens did last season, potentially complicating the Cowboys’ roster decisions. The trade highlights Jones’s ongoing willingness to acquire high-profile players without immediate contract commitments.
