Reform UK council blocks reporter over pothole dispute
Derbyshire County Council, run by Reform UK, announced it would no longer respond to inquiries from Derbyshire Live journalist Eddie Bisknell, citing concerns over recent coverage of pothole statistics and a fence repair story. The council’s deputy leader stated that while Bisknell can still write about the council and attend public events, his requests for information will be ignored, sparking accusations of a press restriction. Critics argue this decision sets a dangerous precedent for transparency and press freedom.
