Whistleblower claims Trump directed FBI probe of LA protesters
A whistleblower claim alleges that former President Trump directed the FBI to investigate protesters in Los Angeles demonstrating against immigration enforcement policies. The complaint, shared with a US senator, states that FBI officials were instructed to open investigations into protected free speech activities, with some agents redirected from other cases. The White House denies these allegations, asserting that violence and obstruction are not protected under the First Amendment.
