The Gaza Nippers program, a junior surf lifesaving initiative originating from Sydney, has resumed in Gaza after a three-year hiatus due to conflict. Despite significant challenges, including loss of equipment and safety concerns, a group of children participated in beach activities, symbolizing hope amid ongoing violence. Only 15 of the original 45 children involved in the program have been contactable or remain alive, with many missing or deceased due to the recent conflict. The effort underscores a desire for normalcy and resilience among Gaza’s children amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
