Mendoza’s NFL debut marred by Raiders loss
Fernando Mendoza, the No. 1 overall NFL draft pick, made his debut for the Las Vegas Raiders during a heavy loss to the Patriots. Although he completed 6 of 8 passes for 48 yards, the team was defeated 45-17, exposing their limitations. Mendoza's brief appearance offered a promising sign, but with the team struggling, there is increasing pressure to give him a starting role sooner.
