Australia leads after record quartet
Australia’s cricket team demonstrated dominant bowling performance in the first Test against South Africa, with Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Nathan Lyon sharing nine wickets to lead the team to victory. The four bowlers, all over 33 years old with more than 300 wickets each, set a record as the only quartet in history to enter the 300 club and collectively took 1,650 wickets. Their efforts helped dismiss South Africa for 284 and secured a substantial lead, with Australia heading into the final days of the match in a strong position.
