Cunningham's false reply to Trump's praise
Sophie Cunningham of the Indiana Fever was not involved in a social media controversy stemming from comments made by Donald Trump about her appearance during a rally. Trump suggested that her looks attract male fans to the WNBA, prompting online debate about the portrayal of female athletes. A parody account impersonating Cunningham posted a reply praising Trump, which was widely mistaken for her own response, leading to criticism and discussions about how female athletes are publicly discussed and judged. Cunningham has stated she does not care about online negativity and remains focused on her career.
