Youth mobility plans delayed for UK-EU summit
The article discusses the upcoming UK-EU summit in Brussels aimed at resetting relations, scheduled for 20 November. Key issues include negotiations over a youth mobility scheme, tuition fees for EU students, visa quotas, and NHS surcharges, all of which remain unresolved. There is consideration of delaying the youth mobility scheme by six months to improve prospects for agreement, but disagreements persist over fee structures, visa caps, and trade arrangements. The summit's outcome depends on resolving these contentious issues to foster closer economic and political ties.
