Butker's Future In Doubt
Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker missed a 54-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter against Denver in Week 8, and the Broncos went on to score the decisive touchdown. He has made just one of five attempts from beyond 50 yards in 2026, while the Chiefs have signed Justin Tucker to their practice squad. Butker’s guaranteed $5.8 million salary this season makes an immediate release financially difficult, but the remaining two years of his contract are not guaranteed.
