Smith wants Ryan at Cowboys
Stephen A. Smith urged Jerry Jones to hire Rex Ryan as the Cowboys’ defensive coordinator after Dallas blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead and lost 33-30 to Arizona in overtime. The defeat left Dallas 3-5, behind the 4-2 New York Giants in the NFC East, but the Cowboys have not announced plans to replace current coordinator Christian Parker. Ryan has not been an NFL defensive coordinator since 2008; Dallas next faces the Indianapolis Colts on November 8.
