Ronaldo 1,000-Goal Debate
Cristiano Ronaldo’s pursuit of 1,000 career goals has been complicated by a disputed strike in Al Nassr’s match against Al Faisaly in late October. The Saudi Pro League credited the headed goal to Ronaldo, while Opta recorded it as an own goal by Al Faisaly defender Andrei Girotto, leaving his league tally at seven according to Opta and eight in Al Nassr’s records. No definitive clarification has been issued, and the discrepancy affects how many goals Ronaldo needs to reach the milestone.
