Deir Ezzor Hosts Syrian-French Medical Conference

The article focused on the launch of the Syrian-French Medical Conference in Deir ez-Zor, which is the first of its kind in the region. The event saw the participation of 800 doctors and pharmacists from France, Europe, America, the Gulf, and the same governorate. The conference discussed strengthening scientific and medical collaboration, presenting over 160 globally peer-reviewed research papers, as well as performing complex surgical procedures, including hand reconstruction and treatment of congenital shoulder paralysis. Speakers also reviewed developments in improving the healthcare sector in the area, where the number of hospitals increased from 6 to 13, and health centers from 30 to 82. The facilities now include advanced equipment such as a state-of-the-art MRI machine, an oral and maxillofacial surgery department, and a cardiac catheterization unit, all part of a plan to develop healthcare justice in the eastern region.
