Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falah Azimi confirmed that American companies will have top priority for investment opportunities within Iraq, as part of a government effort to strengthen economic partnership with the United States. He also announced the allocation of 500,000 barrels of Iraqi oil daily to contribute to replenishing the U.S. strategic reserves, pointing out the possibility of studying Iraq's suspension from OPEC if production is restricted in a manner that matches its capabilities. He stated that the relationship with the United States will shift from military to economic, with armed factions continuing to hand over their weapons, and emphasized that measures are being taken to combat corruption across various ministries.
