Rescue of Drowning Boy Near Kirkuk
The rescue team found the body of a boy born in 2009 who drowned in a stream near Qadis Qaraqosh, south of Kirkuk, after hours of searching. He had gone swimming with his friends. Such incidents recur during the summer in Iraq due to high temperatures, as youth and children often swim in areas not designated for swimming and lacking safety measures.
