Mexico destroys four illegal refineries
The Mexican authorities have dismantled four illegal oil refineries and seized around one million liters of petroleum products, as part of their efforts to combat fuel smuggling and theft carried out by organized crime gangs. Fuel theft through the illegal smuggling of hydrocarbons from pipelines and facilities belonging to the semi-state-owned company Pemex remains a persistent problem, resulting in significant losses for the government.
