Al-Kark Court sentences Khshan to 3 years in prison
The Baghdad/Karkh Court of Criminal Appeal issued a three-year prison sentence and a fine against former Deputy Bassem Khattan after it was found that he has 46 lawsuits filed against him, in addition to judicial procedures including travel bans and asset seizures. This comes as investigations into him continue following previous accusations and detentions, despite his fleeing from justice. The ruling reflects the escalation of legal actions against Khattan and aims to deliver justice regarding multiple charges brought against him.
