Iraqi Behavior Shifts Amid Salary Issues
The article focuses on the growing concern due to the delayed salary payments in Iraq, which has led to a change in citizens' economic behavior. Spending has decreased significantly, while savings rates have risen noticeably. This situation is reflected in a decline of up to 30% in sales volume in markets, along with increased financial tension and a rise in debts among shop owners. The parliament is preparing to discuss the salary issue with the Ministry of Finance to address the crisis and ensure the continuation of payments. Meanwhile, experts are calling for economic reforms and diversification of revenue sources to ensure the stability of public finances and reduce dependence on oil even further.
