Nimer Al-Aqabi Denies Arrest
Businessman Nimer Al-Aqabi denied reports of his arrest or any judicial orders issued against him, affirming that he is in Baghdad and conducting his work normally. He stated that he began working in Iraq after 2003 with the American army and oil companies, then shifted to real estate investment, distancing himself from government contracts since that time, relying instead on the private sector and investments. He explained that his company's projects contribute to Iraq's urban renaissance and are governed by investment law, with a broad popular base that includes thousands of shareholders. He also emphasized that he has neither been investigated nor summoned by the Integrity Commission, and called on media outlets to verify information with official sources before publishing news that could harm the reputation of institutions and individuals.
