Khamenei directs Iraqi oil ship passage
The Parliamentary Oil, Gas, and Natural Resources Committee confirmed that Iran has shown significant flexibility in allowing Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. One of the tankers managed to cross three days ago, while another docked at Basra ports to complete loading operations. Nevertheless, expanding the diversification of export outlets remains crucial for Iraq. The Minister of Oil signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turkey to transport oil via the Feshkhabur line to the Ceyhan port, aiming to reduce dependence on a single route and strengthen the security of its exports, especially given the potential security tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.
