Trump: We control Hormuz, distrust Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump discussed the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that the United States has full control over it and that it does not trust Iran, which, according to him, has constantly lied to them. He pointed out that controlling the strait allows the United States to manage affairs there, despite ongoing tensions in the region following escalation between Washington and Tehran, especially with the continued closure of the strait and its impact on global energy supplies. Trump also described Iran as "the bullies of the Middle East" since 1979, but with current tensions escalating, he affirmed that the situation in the region remains under American control.
