The Iraqi Ministry of Interior has announced the opening of applications for the 73rd Police Academy course in Baghdad. This opportunity is targeted at high school graduates from scientific, literary, industrial, and commercial branches, exclusively for males, for the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants must be Iraqi nationals, born in Iraq, and hold a high school certificate with grades ranging between 70% and 80%, depending on their branch. Candidates must also meet the criteria regarding height, weight, cleanliness, and physical fitness. The application process will be open from August 13 to August 19, 2026, through an electronic form, with strict adherence to admission requirements, including good conduct, no previous expulsions or evasion from training, along with the submission of necessary documents and passing scheduled tests. The announcement aims to recruit and train Iraqi security personnel and provide opportunities for youth to join the police force, with selection and prioritization based on grades and demographic factors.
