During the event, outstanding translators from the past five years were honored with the Medal of Excellence and Creative Knowledge. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees emphasized that the House is currently focusing on translating scientific and humanitarian books, by a select group of Iraqi translators known for their culture and intellectual awareness. There are also plans to hold conferences highlighting the political, social, and intellectual challenges facing the nation. Al-Hikmah House, established by Caliph Al-Ma'mun more than a thousand years ago, is regarded as a symbol of cultural bridges between peoples and remains an important center for science and knowledge.
