Saudi-led coalition hits 136 Houthi targets
The Saudi-led coalition forces carried out a large-scale military operation against the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) in Yemen, resulting in the destruction of 136 military targets in their controlled areas. This escalation comes amid renewed fighting on multiple fronts, including targeting Saudi facilities and intense clashes near the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The group responded with missile and drone attacks on Saudi airports and installations, which this week led to the deaths of six people and injuries to dozens. Saudi Arabia refuses a ceasefire until it regains control of the areas it has lost, amid a comprehensive military escalation aimed at recapturing vital locations. The strait's importance for navigation and global trade continues to grow in this context.
