Interior Ministry enforces weapon registration deadline
The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that it has no intention of extending the firearm registration period, as the number of applications submitted by citizens has exceeded 700,000 since the project’s launch. The deadline to complete the firearm registration is the end of this year. The ministry encourages citizens to complete the procedures within the specified timeframe to enhance security and regulate firearm ownership, as well as to develop the national database, which will be accessible to security agencies—although the process of linking it to the national ID card is still under development.
