Dispute over planning candidate delays cabinet finalization
The parliamentary session faces a challenge in resolving the issue of forming the Iraqi government due to ongoing disagreements over the nominee for the Ministry of Planning, despite political consensus on approving the other candidates. The vote on the remaining ministries is expected to take place on Thursday, with the possibility of delaying the vote on the Ministry of Planning candidate to a future session if the disagreement is not resolved, which would delay the completion of the Cabinet formation.
