The article addresses the issue of waste accumulation in Baghdad, where between 9,000 and 10,000 tons of waste are removed daily. These accumulations lead to a decline in cleanliness, the spread of foul odors, pests, and an increase in health and environmental risks. It highlights the efforts of the municipality to improve waste management through the establishment of transfer stations to enhance the efficiency of collection and processing, as well as a project to invest in waste and convert it into electrical energy using modern technologies.
