A cultural seminar titled "Millegros and the Cities of the Decapolis" was organized in Irbid. It discussed the life of the poet and philosopher Millegros, who was born and raised in Jarda. Critics regard him as the pioneer of the Syrian school in poetry. The seminar also explored the history of the city of Jarda as one of the Decapolis cities, which served as a center of science and culture, hosting poets and philosophers. Its political circumstances were influenced by changes in the number of cities within the alliance.
