Gaza: Agricultural sector losses near $3.5 billion with over 85% destruction

The Ministry of Agriculture in Gaza has announced that the war has caused widespread destruction to the agricultural sector, with total losses reaching approximately $3.49 billion. More than 85% of agricultural sectors have been destroyed. These damages have resulted in an almost complete paralysis of the agricultural production system, impacting food security and increasing reliance on humanitarian aid. The ministry called on the international community and donor organizations to provide support for the rehabilitation of the agricultural sector and to strengthen farmers' resilience.
