Minister of Youth cites technical flaws beneath Hassan Stadium as the reason for delayed pitch replacement

The Youth Minister emphasized that technical flaws in the drainage system and infrastructure beneath Al-Hassan Stadium in Irbid caused delays in updating its pitch. It was decided to fully re-implement the project instead of just performing maintenance. This includes increasing the depth of the excavations and replacing all foundational materials, with the aim of creating an integrated infrastructure that prevents ongoing stadium closures and ensures compliance with Asian and international standards. The project is expected to take around 120 days to complete, with full coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the ongoing hosting of matches and the stadium's sustainability.
