American Stock Indices Decline as Texas Oil Prices Rise

The major U.S. stock indices declined, with the Dow Jones dropping 138 points to reach 52,498 points, the Nasdaq falling by 408 points to 25,873 points, and the Standard & Poor's decreasing by 60 points to 7,515 points. Meanwhile, the price of Texas crude oil rose by more than $6 to reach $77.77 per barrel.
