Jordan refers 226 cases to judicial authorities over violators selling non-compliant products

The Jordanian Parliamentary Committee for Energy and Mineral Resources discussed during its meeting the procedures for monitoring electrical products, heating devices, and energy storage. Approximately 35,000 non-compliant or questionable heaters were seized, and 226 cases were referred to the judiciary against violators not meeting specifications. The deputies emphasized the need to strengthen market surveillance and increase awareness campaigns to protect consumers, while underscoring the importance of ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical appliances and energy storage batteries. The goal is to protect consumers and promote energy conservation.
