The Palestinian woman from the town of Qaryut, Jenin, faced a critical health situation while passing through the Israeli "Aroueta" checkpoint. She was in her sixth month of pregnancy and suffering from severe bleeding. Medical personnel were compelled to stop and thoroughly search the vehicle, causing a delay of more than half an hour. Despite the doctors' efforts to save her unborn child, the delay resulted in the fetus's death, though she survived. This incident occurs amid a tight military siege on the city of Nablus and its surroundings, which has led to emergency deliveries of pregnant women under exceptional circumstances. The organization "Doctors for Human Rights" has issued warnings about the deterioration of health conditions due to Israeli restrictions that hinder patients' access to hospitals, exposing mothers and children to serious risks. Additionally, the ongoing obstruction of emergency cases, such as dialysis patients, continues to endanger lives. This suffering has been recurring for years, with human rights reports documenting more than 130 births at checkpoints, resulting in fatalities among children and mothers.
