The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense has announced the opening of volunteer applications for military service, scheduled from July 28 to August 18. This opportunity is available to individuals holding university degrees, post-secondary diploma certificates, high school certificates and their equivalents, as well as those with education below that level up to the eleventh grade. The requirements specify that the volunteer must be a Kuwaiti citizen, aged between 18 and 26 years old, physically fit, and of good conduct and behavior. The training period ranges from three to four months, depending on the rank and educational qualification, with ranks assigned according to the qualification. This move comes amid rising tensions in Kuwait following authorities intercepting missiles and drones entering the airspace, and condemning attacks targeting vital facilities, which has led the armed forces to be placed on the highest alert.
