The Ministry of Health confirmed that the case of the patient who underwent gallbladder removal surgery at Al-Bashir Hospital, and whose condition subsequently developed complications leading to the removal of one of her eyes, is being reviewed according to legal and technical procedures. The Ministry's spokesperson explained that the investigation requires a comprehensive review of the medical file, consultations with medical and administrative staff, analysis of the chronological sequence of the case, and differentiation between potential complications resulting from the illness or the nature of the condition, and the possibility of medical error that would warrant accountability. He also emphasized that the Medical Liability Law in Jordan is the framework governing such cases, and that the final results will be announced after the investigations are complete to ensure justice and protect the rights of all parties involved.
