Baghdad Probes Drone Attack on Saudi Arabia
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces issued a directive to open an investigation into the drone attack targeting Saudi facilities, after Saudi Arabia announced that it intercepted and destroyed several drones launched from Iraqi territory targeting oil facilities in Riyadh and the Eastern Province. Saudi Arabia accuses Iran of being behind the attack. The statement confirmed that Iraq is committed to good neighborliness and will not allow its territory to be used for attacks against sisterly countries. Legal measures will be taken against those involved based on the investigation’s results, while the Iraqi government continues to safeguard its security and strengthen its sovereignty.
