Countering Jewish terrorism
The article discusses labeling certain settler behaviors in the West Bank as "Jewish terrorism" by Moshe Yaalon. This classification reflects a new approach in Israel's discourse regarding the criminal acts of settlers in the occupied Palestinian territories. The aim of this designation is to clarify the criminal actions of the settlers and to emphasize the need to confront them through a political plan that includes dismantling militias, removing illegal settlement outposts, and restoring the army's primary duties to protect Israel's security. This classification is viewed as an important step in countering far-right policies and marks the beginning of a different approach that opposes the current government's expansion and settlement plans. It underscores that continued escalation in the West Bank threatens Israel's security and conflicts with efforts within Israeli society against extremism and illegal settlement activity.
