Amendments to Local Administration Law
The Management Committee in the House of Representatives is working to finalize the review of the Local Governance Law in order to approve it definitively, in line with future development aspirations. The amendments aim to expand the powers of municipalities and improve the quality of services provided to citizens, with an emphasis on enhancing the role of municipal heads and ensuring the independence of developmental decision-making. The committee affirms that the amendments do not diminish the authorities of municipal heads but maintain a balance of roles, while also opening broad discussions to ensure full legal consistency and to support municipalities' capacities in implementing strategic projects.
