Petra hotels and guides praise tourism support
Hotels and tourist guides in Petra praised the package issued by the Cabinet to support the tourism sector in the Petra region. The package includes 11 decisions costing 5 million Jordanian dinars managed by the government, benefiting around 1,600 workers. These measures aim to save and sustain tourism establishments, particularly amid the challenges caused by the decline in visitor numbers due to geopolitical circumstances and regional events. They also seek to enhance Petra's competitiveness as an international tourist destination, with a focus on protecting jobs and strengthening the sector until foreign tourists return to pre-crisis levels.
