Global gold prices decline
Gold prices declined today, Tuesday, by 0.7% in spot transactions, reaching $4,044.81 per ounce amid a rising dollar and market anticipation of the Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates. This has led to the precious metal hitting its lowest level in a period. Other precious metals, such as silver, platinum, and palladium, also experienced relative declines: silver down by 1.9% at $57.3 per ounce; platinum down by 1% at $1,605.14; and palladium down by 1.6% at $1,271.09. This occurs as investors observe expectations regarding monetary policy and its impact on gold prices, which have been influenced by the dollar's rise, maintaining its high levels for a month.
