Ministry of Culture restructures for economic modernization
The Jordanian Ministry of Culture, led by Minister Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh, has decided to establish a Directorate of Capital Culture and a specialized Directorate for Children's Culture in Amman, in addition to creating departments for children's culture within the cultural directorates of other governorates. This move is part of an effort to update the ministry's administrative structure to align with the vision of economic modernization and national strategic plans, aiming to enhance transparency, improve coordination, and provide more effective and comprehensive cultural services. The decision also emphasizes the importance of children's culture in developing artistic and aesthetic awareness among upcoming generations, as well as supporting the capital as a national center for culture and creativity. These measures are in line with modernizing the ministry’s outdated administrative system and developing institutional performance to meet the demands and ambitions of the cultural sector.
