American airports detain expired visa migrants
Developments indicate that U.S. immigration policy has become more stringent, with increased arrests at airports of individuals whose entry permits have expired. This includes spouses of American citizens and individuals holding valid work permits. The crackdown has begun through coordination between the Transportation Security Administration and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in response to tougher policies. Documents revealed that over 20 people of various nationalities found themselves in a "grey area" due to requests for visa extensions or green cards, even though they had not committed crimes at airports—only in rare cases.
